Assignment
The GHENT UNIVERSITY GLOBAL CAMPUS in Incheon, South Korea has a vacancy for an instructorship, starting from (August 2023 until at end of February 2024).
Plant Biology constitutes a basic course in plant biology with an emphasis on biodiversity and evolution. The course gives an introduction to the anatomy, morphology (both focusing on the structure and function of plant parts), and taxonomy of plants in the light of evolution and how adaptation strategies have been explored in relation to conquering the land. Typical features of the major taxa are discussed, as well as underlying relationships in anatomy and morphology and potential applications for agriculture and biotechnology. The course exists of 50% theoretical lectures and 50% practical courses. The practical courses are meant to help students to better understand the concepts of the theoretical lectures. You will have support from a teaching assistant for organizing the practical session.

Salary and benefits are complied with according to the regulations of Ghent University Global Campus.
Compensation: ≒100,000 KRW per hour (Paid Monthly)

Profile
1. Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Biology, Biological Science, or equivalent.
- Proven written and oral communication skills in English. (C1 Level)
- Ability to work independently and in a group atmosphere and mentor or train undergraduates.
- Proven capacity to organize the theoretical and practical courses
