공동 연구·인재 육성 협력 맞손
- 교육·연구 분야 업무협약 체결…공동 심포지엄 통해 학술 교류의 장 열어
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스(총장 한태준)는 12일 경북대학교 약학대학(학장 권진원)과 공동 연구 및 우수 인재 육성을 위한 상호협력 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 대구 경북대학교 약학대학에서 국제 공동 심포지엄을 개최했다.
이번 협약을 통해 양교는 ▲상호 역량과 핵심 자원 적극 공유, ▲상생 분야 전반의 공동 연구 및 협력, 그리고 ▲교육프로그램 공유 및 우수 인재 육성 등 교육·연구 분야 전반에서 협력하기로 했다.
협약식에 이어 국제 공동 심포지엄도 진행됐다. "AI 기반 대학 간 연구·교육의 첫걸음"을 주제로 열린 이번 심포지엄에는 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 요리스 반케르샤베르(Joris Vankerschaver) 교수, 필립 핸드릭스(Philippe M. Heynderickx) 교수, 경북대학교 류주희 교수, 영국 노팅엄대학교 김동현 교수가 발표자로 나서 서로의 지식과 최신 연구 성과를 공유했다.
박동익 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 교수는 “이번 업무협약과 공동 심포지엄은 생명·바이오 및 약학 분야에서 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스와 경북대학교 약학대학의 미래지향적 협력 체제를 구축하는 중요한 자리였다”며, “이번 협력이 일회성 행사에 그치지 않고 향후 양교가 상호 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있는 실질적인 공동 연구와 우수 인재 육성 협력으로 이어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다. //끝//

Ghent University Global Campus – Kyungpook National University College of Pharmacy Join Hands in Cooperation for Joint Research and Talent Cultivation

On the 12th, Ghent University Global Campus (President Taejun Han) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation in joint research and the cultivation of outstanding talent with Kyungpook National University College of Pharmacy (Dean Jinwon Kwon), and held an international joint symposium at Kyungpook National University College of Pharmacy in Daegu.
Through this agreement, the two universities agreed to cooperate across the overall fields of education and research, including: ▲ actively sharing mutual capabilities and core resources, ▲ conducting joint research and cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas, and ▲ sharing educational programs and fostering outstanding talent.
Following the signing ceremony, an international joint symposium was also held. Under the theme "The First Step of AI-based Inter-University Research and Education," Professor Joris Vankerschaver and Professor Philippe M. Heynderickx from Ghent University Global Campus, Professor Juhee Ryu from Kyungpook National University, and Professor Donghyun Kim from the University of Nottingham in the UK participated as presenters to share their knowledge and the latest research achievements.
Professor Dongik Park of Ghent University Global Campus stated, "This MOU and joint symposium served as an important occasion to establish a future-oriented cooperative system between Ghent University Global Campus and Kyungpook National University College of Pharmacy in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmacy." He added, "We will do our best to ensure that this cooperation does not end as a one-time event, but leads to practical joint research and talent cultivation cooperation that can generate mutual synergy between the two universities in the future." //End//
