Korea-Belgium Summit includes Discussions on future Academic Development at Ghent University Global Campus
Ghent University Campus is pleased to note that future academic development at its campus in Songdo, Incheon, including the possible expansion of higher education opportunities beyond its current
bachelor-level programmes, was discussed as a part of the educational cooperation agenda during the recent summit between the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Belgium.
During the summit, the two countries discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas including advanced industries, science and technology, education, and people-to-people exchange
The discussion on future academic development at Ghent University Global Campus was included in this broader context of Korea-Belgium educational cooperation.
This is particularly meaningful as the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Belgium mark the 125th annivesary of diplomatic relations, As an extended campus of Ghent University in Belgium, Ghent
University Global Campus has continued to develop European-style higher education and research in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology, environmental techonology, and the food technology in Songdo, Incheon.
Ghent University Global Campus will continue to work closed with Ghent University and relevant stakeholders to explore future academic development in line with the necessart procedures, institutional
priorities, and operational considerations. The campus looks forward to further contributing to education, research, and talent exchange betweek Korea and Belgium, and more broadly between Europe and Asia.
