2026년 예비 신입생 사전 오리엔테이션 개최
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스(총장 한태준)가 24일, 예비 신입생과 학부모를 대상으로 ‘2026년 GUGC 예비 신입생 사전 오리엔테이션(Pre-Orientation)’을 개최했다.
이번 오리엔테이션은 예비 신입생들이 첫 학기를 앞두고 학업과 캠퍼스 생활에 대해 미리 이해할 수 있도록 마련된 행사로, 겐트대의 교육과정과 대학생활 전반에 대한 정보를 종합적으로 제공했다.
행사는 예비 신입생들이 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스의 학업에 대해 이해하고, 학부모와 가족들이 캠퍼스에서의 생활을 미리 파악할 수 있도록 돕는 것을 목표로 했다.
행사에는 예비 신입생과 학부모 등 270여 명이 참석했으며, 교육과정 및 학사 안내, 캠퍼스 생활 전반 안내, 졸업 후 진로 등에 대한 상세한 설명이 이어졌다. 또한 캠퍼스 관계자들과 예비 신입생, 학부모가 한자리에 모여 질문과 답변을 통해 궁금증을 해소하고 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.
교무팀 관계자는 “예비 신입생과 학부모님들께 학교생활에 대한 이해를 돕고 자신감을 가질 수 있도록 이번 행사를 기획했다”며, “예비 신입생 여러분을 진심으로 환영하며, 겐트대에서 첫 발을 내딛는 학생들을 적극 지원할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

The event was aimed to support incoming students in gaining a clear understanding of academic life at Ghent University Global Campus, while enabling parents and family members to familiarize themselves in advance with campus life.
Approximately 270 incoming students and parents participated in the event, which featured detailed presentations on the curriculum and academic administration, key aspects of campus life, and post-graduation career pathways. In addition, campus officials, incoming students, and parents gathered in one place to engage in a question-and-answer session, addressing inquiries and fostering communication.
An official from the academic affairs team stated, “This event was planned to help incoming students and parents better understand university life and gain confidence as they prepare for a new beginning,” adding, “We sincerely welcome our incoming students and will do our utmost to actively support them as they take their first steps at Ghent University.”
The incoming students will officially begin their academic journey as members of Ghent University Global Campus—the only European university in Korea—through the entrance ceremony scheduled for February 27.
