2024학년도 벨기에 홈캠퍼스 교환학생 방문
지난 5일 겐트대학교 총장실에서 벨기에 겐트대학교 교환학생 5명과 diplomat 재학생 5명이 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 한태준 총장과 함께하는 간담회에 참석하였다. 홈캠퍼스 학생들이 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스의 교육과정에 참여하는 교환학생 프로그램은 2022년에 시작되었으며, 올해 3번째를 맞았다.
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 한태준 총장은 “겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스에서 다양한 문화적 배경을 가진 학생들이 서로 교류하고 배우는 공간이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”며 “한국의 전통 음식, 음악, 역사 등을 모두 경험하고 본교에 돌아가서 한국과 벨기에를 이어주는 가교 역할을 하기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
이번 겐트대학교 교환학생 프로그램을 통해 글로벌캠퍼스의 국제화 및 문화교류가 활성화되기를 기대하며, 향후에는 교환학생 프로그램 규모를 확대할 예정이다. 한편 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스는 교환학생을 위한 언어교환프로그램, 한국 문화체험(경복궁 방문 등) 등의 다양한 프로그램을 제공하고 있다.
2024 Belgium Home Campus Exchange Students Visit
On February 5, five exchange students from Ghent University in Belgium and five diplomat students of our university attended a meeting with Ghent University Global Campus President Taejun Han at the Ghent University President's Office. The exchange program, which allows students from the home campus to participate in the education at Ghent University Global Campus, was launched in 2022 and is in its third year.
"At Ghent University Global Campus, we are committed to creating a space for students from diverse cultural backgrounds to connect and learn from each other," said Taejun Han, President of Ghent University Global Campus. "I hope the students could experience traditional Korean food, music, and history, and after returning to their home campus, serve as a bridge between Korea and Belgium."
Through this exchange program, Ghent University hopes to promote globalization and cultural exchange at the Global Campus and plans to increase the scale of the exchange program in the future. Meanwhile, Ghent University Global Campus offers a variety of programs for exchange students, including language exchange programs and Korean cultural experiences (such as visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace).
