K-바이오 랩허브 사업추진단 한인석 사업단장, 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 방문
2월 2일 K-바이오 랩허브 사업추진단 한인석 사업단장이 겐트대와 상호협력 방안을 논의하기 위해 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스를 방문했다.
‘K-바이오 랩허브’는 바이오 스타트업 육성을 통한 바이오 강국 실현을 위해 중기부가 역점을 두고 추진하는 사업이다. 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스는 지난해 3월 중소벤처기업부(이하 중기부), 인천광역시(이하 인천시)와 함께 의약 바이오 분야 30여 개 기관과 ‘K-바이오 랩허브’의 성공적 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결하였던 바 있다.
이번 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 방문을 통해 ▲바이오 R&D 및 사업화 관련 협력 ▲산·학·병·연 협업 및 네트워킹 ▲우수 스타트업과 기술사업 협력 ▲기타 협력관계 활성화 등을 함께해 나아갈 예정이다.
K-바이오 랩허브 사업추진단 한인석 사업단장은 “바이오 특화 대학인 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스와 함께 기술협력, 글로벌 진출, 투자 애로요인 해결을 위한 산·학·연·병 과의 연계 협력 지원 시스템이 구축되기를 바란다. ”고 밝혔다.
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 한태준 총장은 “올 8월 마린유겐트코리아(가칭)가 개소한다”며 “추후 마린유겐트코리아가 K-바이오 랩허브와 함께 공동 연구를 통해 시너지 효과를 내기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.

On Febuary 2nd In Seok Han, the Director of K-Bio labhub project promotion team visited Ghent University Global Campus to talk of coordination and cooperation with Ghent University.
‘K-bio labhub is a project promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to focus on achieving enhancement in the bio-science sector by nurturing growth of bio-startup enterprises in Korea. And Ghent University of Global Campus has a record of successfully promoting business conventions relevant to ’K-bio labhub’with 30 medical bio-secotrs with the help of Incheon Metropolitan city and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Through this visit, the director plans to proceed with discussion on ▲coordination on bio-sector R&D and commercialization ▲ coordination and networking between Industry·Academia·Military·Research ▲cooperation on technological business with distinguished start-up enterprises ▲Establishing other cooperative relationships
In Seok Han, the Director of K-Bio labhub project promotion team stated “By cooperating with Ghent University Global Campus, the leading institute on bio-sector, we hope to solve problems related to technological cooperation, global debouchment and investment and establish a cooperative support system between Industry·Academia·Military·Research sector.”
Taejun Han, the President of Ghent University Global Campus stated “On August, a new research lab called Marine Ugent Korea will be founded, and we hope that through joint research with K-bio labhub it will create a synergy effect.”
