2024년 봄학기 입학생 사전 오리엔테이션 개최
교학처는 지난 1월 20일(토) 인천 송도 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 대강당에서 2024년 봄학기 입학생을 위한 사전 오리엔테이션을 성황리에 개최했다고 전했다. 이번 행사는 신입생 및 학부모 약 250여명이 참석했으며, ▲한태준 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 총장의 환영 인사 ▲교과과정과 커리큘럼 ▲졸업생 진로 현황 ▲경력개발 프로그램 소개 ▲1학년 학업 생활, 1학년 교과 준비 방법 ▲캠퍼스 생활(캠퍼스 시설, 기숙사, 장학금, 학생 행사 및 지원) 안내 순으로 진행되었다. 또한 입학 전에 준비해야 할 학업에 대해 설명하고 입학 후 잘 적응할 수 있도록 정보를 제공하여 예비 신입생들에게 큰 호응을 얻었다.
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 한태준 총장은 “세계적 명문대학교 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스에 입학하게 된 것을 환영한다”며 “겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스의 차별화된 커리큘럼과 학사지원 시스템을 통해 여러분들은 생명공학 전문가로 양성되어 꿈을 펼칠 수 있다”고 말했다.
입학설명회에 참여한 전영찬 학생은 “지난 12년 동안 열심히 공부해 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스에 입학하게 되어 기쁘다”며 “이번 오리엔테이션을 통해 4년 동안의 학업 로드맵을 세울 수 있었고, 입학 후 학교에서 제공해주는 튜터링 프로그램, 인턴십 프로그램 등을 학업에 적극 활용할 계획”이라고 전했다.

Pre-orientation held for students entering the spring semester of 2024
The Office of Academic Affairs stated that a successful freshman orientation for students enrolling in the spring semester of 2024 took place on Saturday, January 20, at the auditorium of the Ghent University Global Campus in Songdo, Incheon. The celebration, attended by 250 new students and their parents, featured a ▲ welcoming address from Ghent University Global Campus President Taejun Han; ▲ school curriculum; ▲ graduate’s career status; ▲ career development programs; ▲ preparation for freshman life; ▲ campus life (facilities on campus, dorms, scholarships, student events, and support); Furthermore, it gained a positive reaction from incoming freshmen by describing the academic preparation required prior to admission and offering information to assist them in adjusting effectively once enrolled.
Taejun Han, President of Ghent University Global Campus, stated, "We warmly welcome you to Ghent University Global Campus, an internationally recognized university." He went on to say, "Through Ghent University Global Campus' differentiated curriculum and academic support system, you will grow as a biotechnology professional and will be able to fulfill your dreams.”
Youngchan Jeon, a student who attended the admission information session, stated, “I am glad to have studied hard for the past 12 years so that I have been accepted to the Ghent University Global Campus.” He added on to say, “Through this orientation, I was able to develop an academic plan for the next four years of school, as well as participate in the school's tutoring program after acceptance. We plan to actively utilize internship programs, etc., in our studies.”
