- 2023년부터 학업 환경 조성·글로벌 인재 육성에 동참
지난 3일, (주)형지엘리트(대표이사 부회장 최준호)가 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스(총장 한태준) 학생들에게 장학금을 전달했다.
이번 장학금 수여식은 교내 대회의실에서 열렸으며, 관계자 10여 명이 참석한 가운데 총 3명의 학생이 장학 혜택을 받았다.
장학 프로그램은 학업 환경 조성과 글로벌 인재 육성을 위한 목적으로 2023년부터 이어져 왔으며, 장학생은 학업 성취도와 의지, 모범적인 학교생활 등 다양한 요소를 종합적으로 고려해 선발된다.
이혜원 장학생은 “인재 양성을 위해 꾸준히 지원해 주시는 형지엘리트의 노력에 깊이 감사드린다. 이번 장학금을 통해 안정된 환경 속에서 겐트대학교의 모토인 'Dare to Think'를 실현하고, 글로벌 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 더욱 학업에 매진해 기대에 부응하겠다”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
한태준 총장은 “패션그룹형지와 친환경 섬유 공동연구소 개소 등 다양하고 긴밀한 산·학·연 협력을 이어오고 있다”며 “지속적인 관심과 지원에 진심으로 감사드린다”고 전했다.
최준호 부회장은 “대한민국의 미래를 이끌어갈 우수한 인재들이 성장하는데 조금이나마 기여할 수 있어 보람을 느낀다”며, “앞으로도 환경 교육 분야 지원을 통해 지속가능한 경영을 강화하고, 미래 성장 산업의 전문 인력 양성을 위해서도 적극적으로 힘을 보태겠다”고 밝혔다.
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스(Ghent University Global Campus)는 생명과학 및 바이오 분야에서 세계 30위권의 명성을 자랑하는 벨기에 겐트대학교의 인천 송도 소재 확장캠퍼스로, 2014년 개교 이후 글로벌 인재 양성에 힘쓰고 있다.

- Supporting academic environment and global talent development since 2023
On the 3rd, Hyungji Elite Co., Ltd. (Vice Chairman & CEO Junho Choi) awarded scholarships to students of Ghent University Global Campus (Taejun Han, Prof. Dr. Campus President).
The scholarship ceremony was held at the university’s main conference hall, with about 10 participants in attendance. A total of three students received the scholarship benefits.
Since 2023, the scholarship program has been carried out with the aim of supporting the academic environment and fostering global talents. Recipients are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of academic achievement, determination, and exemplary campus life.
Scholarship recipient Hyewon Lee said, “I am deeply grateful for Hyungji Elite’s continuous efforts to support talent cultivation. Through this scholarship, I will be able to focus on my studies in a stable environment, live up to the university’s motto ‘Dare to Think,’ and grow as a global talent.”
Taejun Han, Prof. Dr. Campus President stated, “We have been pursuing diverse and close collaborations in industry–academia–research, such as establishing a joint eco-friendly textile research center with Fashion Group Hyungji. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for their ongoing interest and support.”
Vice Chairman Junho Choi said, “I feel proud to contribute, even in a small way, to the growth of outstanding talents who will lead Korea’s future. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen sustainable management through support in environmental education and actively contribute to cultivating professional manpower for future growth industries.”
Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC), located in Songdo, Incheon, is an extended campus of Ghent University in Belgium, which is ranked among the world’s top 30 institutions in life sciences and biotechnology. Since its opening in 2014, GUGC has been dedicated to nurturing global talents.
