겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스, 2024 Spring Welcome Day 개최
겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스는 지난 26일 2024학년도 Spring Welcome Day를 개최했다고 전했다. 이번 행사의 참여대상은 GUGC 신입생 및 재학생 약 600명으로 대학 소속감과 만족감, 그리고 학생복지 체감도 향상을 위해서 기획되었으며 11시부터 13시까지 GUGC B1 로비에서 진행되었다.
신입생으로 입학한 정영찬 학생은 “프리 오리엔테이션, 오리엔테이션 등 학교 행사를 통해 이미 친해진 친구가 있다”며 “학교 측에서 신입생들의 적응을 위해 많은 행사를 해주심에 감사하다”고 전했다.
또한 장서희 학생은 “방학 동안 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스 수업을 위한 많은 공부를 하고 왔다”며 “앞으로 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스의 학교 생활이 기대된다”고 말했다.
겐트대학교는 1817년 벨기에 겐트시에 설립된 유럽 명문 종합대학 연구기관으로 세계적 수준의 생명공학과 농업 관련 기술을 보유하고 있다. 국내에는 2014년 9월 산업통상자원부와 인천시 공동프로젝트를 통해 겐트대학교 글로벌캠퍼스를 개교했으며, 분자생명·식품·환경공학 분야에서 세계적 수준의 연구력과 국제적인 네트워크를 갖추고 있다. 한편 2024년도 가을학기 신입생 모집은 2024년 3월 1일부터 개시되며, 자세한 정보는 겐트대학교 입학홈페이지(admissions.ghent.ac.kr)를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
Ghent University Global campus holds the Spring Welcome Day of 2024
Ghent University Global campus stated that on the 26th, the university held a Spring Welcome Day of 2024. The ceremony was held to give participants a sense of belonging and satisfaction, and to help the students feel the improvements regarding student welfare policies. The ceremony was held from 11:00-13:00 at GUGC lobby, B1 and a total of 600 GUGC students were invited.
Yeongchan Jeong, a freshmen stated “Thanks to school events like pre-orientation, orientation, etc. I already have friends in campus, and we are grateful to the school for helping us freshmen adapt to the new environment.”
Furthermore, Seohye Jang, a GUGC student stated “I’ve studied a lot about GUGC courses during spring break, and I’m really looking forward to my campus life in GUGC.”
Ghent University is a prestigious European university founded by the city of Ghent, Belgium in 1817 and is known for its advanced technology regarding biological engineering and farming. In Korea, under the collaboration of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the city of Incheon, the Ghent University Global campus was founded, and owns the state of the art research facilities and national networks on molecular biology·food·Environmental engineering.
