Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership in Campus Facilities & Operations
- Lead and oversee campus infrastructure, ICT, logistics, procurement, housing, and global support services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance campus infrastructure, space utilization, and safety management.
- Ensure compliance with Korean and international regulations related to facilities and campus operations.
- Collaborate with the CS1 Head and CS2 Head to support GUGC’s operational efficiency.
- Supervise ICT infrastructure, system maintenance, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure seamless operation of IT services, including network security, data management, and technical support.
- Align ICT policies and infrastructure with Ghent University.
· Oversee campus facilities maintenance, repairs, and space management.
· Manage lab safety, staff training, and regulatory compliance.
· Ensure effective environmental sustainability measures and emergency response planning in coordination with IGC and local authorities.
4. Logistics and Procurement
· Supervise inventory management, procurement processes, and contract negotiations.
· Ensure compliance with budgetary and financial regulations for purchasing and reimbursements.
· Optimize supply chain management to enhance operational efficiency.
5. Housing & Global Mobility Support
· Oversee housing support for students, faculty, and international staff.
· Provide visa and immigration services, including Alien Registration Cards (ARC), residency permits, and administrative support.
· Facilitate international staff and students with banking, mobile phone setup, internet access, and transportation logistics.
· Enhance cultural adaptation programs to support the global GUGC community.
Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Facilities Management, ICT, Public Administration, or related fields.
· 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, operations, ICT, logistics, procurement, or international support services.
· Experience in higher education institutions, multinational corporations, or government agencies.
· Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean (mandatory).
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for liaising with IGC, Ghent University (Belgium), and external partners.
· Knowledge of visa regulations, immigration procedures, and legal compliance related to international staff and students.
Preferred Qualifications
· Expertise in facilities and safety management, ICT infrastructure, procurement, and logistics.
· Familiarity with Korean administrative procedures, including experience working with the Ministry of Justice, Immigration Office, and other government agencies.
· Leadership experience in a university’s international office, international support center, or Global One-Stop Center, particularly in a team leader or higher-level leadership role.
· Experience in contract negotiations, budgeting, and financial oversight within an academic, corporate, or governmental setting.
· Ability to implement data-driven decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and strategic planning.
